I worked under Aaron Perry as a corrections deputy during the COVID-19 pandemic and later as a civilian manager at the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, and I saw his leadership in both crisis and daily operations. During COVID, he made difficult, people-focused decisions—implementing PPE distribution, enhanced cleaning, health screenings, and operational changes—to protect staff, families, and the more than 600 individuals in our care. As a civilian, I continued to see his integrity-based leadership through his support of sworn and civilian staff, responsible use of public funds, and commitment to innovation over tradition. I also saw how he balances demanding service with being a devoted father and active community member, which reinforces why, as a South Weber resident and parent, I trust his judgment and believe his leadership has a lasting, positive impact.
