Letter of Endorsement for Aaron Perry, Candidate for Davis County Sheriff

To Whom It May Concern:

It is my privilege to wholeheartedly endorse Aaron Perry in his candidacy for Davis County Sheriff.

I began my law enforcement career in 2005 and quickly became acquainted with Aaron, who soon distinguished himself as a remarkable mentor and leader. Working alongside Aaron on our crew, I witnessed firsthand his integrity, professionalism, and dedication to service. When I joined the SWAT Team, our friendship deepened, and Aaron’s guidance proved invaluable. Over the years, he has consistently demonstrated the qualities we need in our next Sheriff—vision, compassion, and a commitment to the highest standards of law enforcement.

Now, as Aaron seeks to serve as Davis County Sheriff, I am confident he will bring these strengths to the entire Davis County Sheriff’s Office and our community.

One defining moment in my relationship with Aaron came after I was involved in a critical incident in which he played a crucial role in my personal and professional well-being. The critical incident caused me to struggle as a deputy, and had it continued without attention, I likely would not have made it to where I am today, with a very successful career in law enforcement, including multiple promotions.

As my sergeant, he took my well-being and the well-being of the other deputies at the Sheriff’s Office very seriously. He recognized the issues I was having and, with compassion, confronted me and pointed me in the right direction. He not only spoke up but also stayed involved in my progress, ensuring I did not fall back into the struggles I had faced. Through my experiences, I have been able to pass on the same mentorship to others that Aaron gave to me.

Aaron Perry has shown me, and countless others, that proper law enforcement is about more than making arrests or issuing citations—it’s about building trust, changing lives, and forging strong community relationships. His leadership style empowers those around him and fosters a culture of integrity and accountability.

I am confident that, as Sheriff, Aaron will ensure every member of the Davis County Sheriff’s Office has the opportunity to grow, serve, and make a positive impact for all the citizens of Davis County. This commitment to developing deputies translates directly into more effective, compassionate service for the public, greater community trust, and safer communities. The citizens of Davis County have already benefited from dedicated leadership in their Sheriff’s Office—improved training, positive culture, and clear vision. Looking ahead, Aaron Perry’s vision, compassion, and proven track record will further enhance public safety, strengthen community relationships, and ensure that the needs of Davis County residents remain the highest priority.
