“For the last 50 years I actively worked and provided service within law enforcement/public safety environments. During that time, I spent 30 years with Davis County Sheriff’s Office and for 40 years, provided consulting services as a contracted and fulltime employed consultant. My responsibilities entailed and required broad and specific access to organizations and government offices essential for evaluating and assessing organizational operations, policies, execution of essential and required functions, and executive performance, decision making, and effectiveness within these institutions.
Questions have been raised regarding the necessity of experience and preparation for higher executive responsibilities and the requisite ability to effectively and efficiently lead a complex organization.
I have personally worked with Aaron Perry and have always been impressed with his abilities and concern for exceptional performance and loyalty. Mr. Perry has always taken opportunities to accumulate experience and capabilities for increased responsibilities and higher positions within law enforcement entities. Solid reasons exist supporting applicable experience, training, and education being advantageous and required for ascending to the pinnacles of executive office. Both government and the private sector systems require defined paths of increasing responsibility essential for acquiring capabilities and identifiable performance toward positions of higher authority. Progression through experience, training, education, successfully protecting and promoting organizational mission, development of organizational processes, and protection of fiscal elements, define a demonstrated ability to lead. Capable and functional leadership of complex organizations only comes through dedicated preparation and increased responsibility coupled with successful and proven performance.,
In my opinion, after 30 years as Deputy Sheriff, augmented by 40 years of consulting, which entailed evaluating and assessing diverse organizations, domestically and internationally, only one candidate has the credentials, proven performance, and pedigree necessary to ascend to the position of Davis County Sheriff and capable of leading it into the future: Mr. Aaron Perry.
Experience and previous successful performance matter. Please join me in supporting and voting: Aaron Perry for Davis County Sheriff.”
